The easiest, fastest and most secure way to apply is online; paper applications are also available. Fredonia accepts The Common Application and the SUNY Application.

Transfer Applicants

▢ Official Transcripts from ALL colleges you have attended. (courses taken at a foreign university must be evaluated through a NACES certified company in order to received credit.)

▢ Students with fewer than 30 credit hours are required to submit a high school transcript and official SAT/ACT test scores for the application review.

▢ All transfer students are required to submit proof of high school graduation. An official high school transcript, copy of diploma, or GED certificate are appropriate.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to Empire State College you must:

  • provide proof of high school completion
  • demonstrate ability to pursue college-level work through the essay in the application
  • complete an application (as outlined below)

In addition, Empire State College must have the resources to serve you.

An applicant has one year from the submission of the application to complete the admissions process and attend a pre-enrollment orientation workshop. If the application process is not completed within that year, the application expires and the applicant will have to reapply.
